Copylogic's Partner Kyocera Wins Again!

Kyocera Mita UK is today celebrating winning the Hardware Vendor of the Year category of the Microscope Awards for Channel Excellence. The awards, which are voted for by the readers of Microscope magazine, recognise the companies that are performing at the very highest levels in the UK channel. Kyocera Mita is honoured to have been recognised for its commitment to the channel and strong sales results over the past year.

Graham Cox, Sales Director at Kyocera Mita commented: “To say that 2009 was a challenging year for the hardware industry is to vastly understate the ingenuity, persistence and sheer hard work required to make sales during that time. Kyocera’s commitment to a 100% indirect sales strategy remains as strong as it has ever been, as we believe that our channel partners possess the skills, flexibility and determination to serve our customers in the best way possible. Our faith has been rewarded by the company’s most successful year in the last decade with turnover up 11% on the previous year, and Q1 FY 11 projected to deliver growth in excess of this.

Winning this award is an incredible honour and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank our channel partners for their support and hard work over the past year and to look forward with them to a prosperous year ahead.”

Simon Quicke, Editor of Microscope magazine, commented: “This year with more entries and votes winning an ACE award was a real challenge. But with the votes cast by the channel those that did win can be rightly proud of their achievements.”

Over the past year Kyocera Mita has refocused its channel partner programme to tailor it more closely to the differing needs of channel partners. This has enabled new partners to come on board, existing partners to develop their knowledge base, and principal partners to drive forward strategically to greater sales success.

Kyocera Mita’s strong environmental credentials, which were recognised in 2008 when the company won the Environmental Company of the Year category of the ACEs, have even greater relevance today, and are proving a strong selling point for Kyocera Mita products and services.

Graham Cox concludes: “Kyocera’s unique selling points of environmentally sensitive products, low running costs and high reliability, have unparalleled resonance in today’s business climate. We are proud that our partners recognise the benefits of selling hardware on the basis of these proven messages. Their success is our success.”

The Copylogic Cup is back up for grabs in September 2010 at Buckmore Park.

Last Year Copylogic sponsored the Annual Lloyd's Motor Club Karting event at Buckmore Park which was won by Miller Insurance. This highly contested competition will again be held this year at Buckmore Park on the 11th September when the magnificent Trophy sponsored by Copylogic Limited will be up for grabs.

If we have learned anything from our years of working within the Lloyd's market, it is that Insurance Companies are highly competitive and we will be expecting to see a nail biting battle again this year.

Copylogic are sponsors of the LMC magazine and various other activities and it is always nice to be involved with such a prestigious organisation.

Good luck to all 30 or so teams this year and we will look forward to rubbing shoulders with you all on the track in September.

Kyocera opens new Technology Suite in London April 2010

Kyocera Mita today opened a new centre in London, designed to showcase its printing and imaging expertise and, in particular, its environmental credentials.

The Kyocera Technology Suite was opened by Minister Kusaka, Consul-General of the Embassy of Japan, alongside Sir John Madejski OBE, DL, DLitt, Chairman of Reading Football Club and Mr. Koji Nakamura, President of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at a ceremony attended by representatives from industry, commerce and government.

The centre, located just north of Oxford Circus on Mortimer Street, will host a permanent exhibit of Kyocera products and displays explaining the company’s philosophy, vision and global strategy plus flexible space that can be used for meetings, seminars and conferences.

In addition to boosting Kyocera Mita’s profile in the UK’s business heartland, the Technology Suite will contribute to the promotion of sustainable business in London. It will be offered on a pro-bono basis as a venue to organisations wishing to hold sustainability-focused events in a central London location, as part of Kyocera’s commitment to supporting sustainable business practices.

The opening of the Kyocera Technology Suite represents a significant investment at a time when the printing and imaging industry is experiencing difficult trading conditions, but the tone of the opening event was unashamedly optimistic. Kyocera Mita UK has seen shipments increase compared with last year, and believes its success is due to its unique combination of lowest environmental impact combined with greatest user economy.

Its environmental attributes – and their increasing appeal to large corporations and public sector customers – were a significant factor in the decision to open the Kyocera Technology Suite in London, as UK MD Jun Okumura explains:
“London is leading the UK’s drive towards sustainable business and government, and is fast becoming a global centre of excellence in environmental leadership. At the same time, most of the decisions by large organisations are made by London-based executives. This new London facility puts Kyocera firmly at the centre of the sustainability movement and ensures that we can introduce London-based decision makers to Kyocera products without asking them to incur the transport impact of travelling to another location.”

He continued: “We have taken space in an existing building and converted it using low-carbon materials and technologies, to ensure that our own environmental impact is minimised. We want to demonstrate that sustainability is good for business and that by paying attention to the environmental impact of office activities organisations can reduce both their carbon emissions and their costs.”

The Kyocera Technology Suite has been refurbished to the highest environmental standards, making maximum use of natural light, re-using existing materials wherever possible and using sustainably sourced furnishings and fixtures. Its multifunctional layout makes it suitable for a wide range of activities from board meetings to conferences.

A full programme of sustainability events to be held at the technology suite will be published in due course. Already planned are a Green IT round-tab le and a two-day training course for sustainability leaders.

Copylogic joins the 10:10 Campaign - cutting carbon emissions by 10% in just one year! March 2010

Today we're joining thousands of individuals and organisations from across the country to unite behind one simple idea: a 10% cut in carbon emissions during 2010. It’s called 10:10, and we want you to be a part of it. Read on to find out more, or visit 1010uk.org to sign up now.

10:10 is an ambitious project to unite every sector of British society behind one simple idea: that by working together we can achieve a 10% cut in the UK’s carbon emissions in 2010.

Cutting 10% in one year is a bold target, but for most of us it’s an achievable one, and is in line with what scientists say we need over the next 18 months. We now know for certain that unless we act quickly to reduce our use of dirty fossil fuels, humanity will face terrible problems in the years to come. Politicians have so far failed to do what needs to be done, so it’s time for ordinary people to step in and show that we’re ready to defend our children’s futures. It’s now or never for the climate.

Find out more at the 10:10 website
